PROJECT NEWS: Austin Meals on Wheels nears completion

A major expansion and renovation of the Austin Meals on Wheels facility, designed by Block 16 Architects, is nearing completion with occupation of the building expected in late September according to Principal Brian Bishop. When complete, the expanded facility will enable the non-profit organization to create 10,000 meals per day.

PROJECT NEWS: Austin Stone Community Church Building "seeks new direction with same vision"

Block 16 Architects, is nearing completion on construction drawings for the Austin Stone Community Church's new building located at St. Johns and I-35, according to Principal Stuart Alderman.

Collaborating with California-based design architects Visioneering Architects, Block 16 Architects is acting as the local architects of record on the project. Block 16 is using innovative Revit BIM software to produce construction documents that are extracted from the creation of a three dimensional computer model.

The 142-unit Pavilion at Great Hills Assisted Living and Memory Care Community continues to make progress in construction. Designed by Block 16 Architects and developed by Paul Denucci, the project is scheduled for completion in Spring 2010.

The Green residence is nearly complete and ready for move-in according to Block 16 Architects Principal Mark Paccone. Built for Randy and Kathy Green, the 3200 square foot house is located in Bastrop County. The house has several innovative green features that help to conserve energy and water as well as reduce utility costs.

FIRM NEWS: Austin Stone Community Church selects Block 16 as Architect of Record

Block 16 Architects is producing the construction documents and other services for the Austin Stone Community Church's new facility located on I-35 and St. Johns. B16 is collaborating with Visioneering Architects based in California. The first phase of the project includes a non-profit center, classrooms, offices, and a worship center. Block 16 is using innovative BIM technology to produce the construction drawings. Construction is scheduled to begin in early 2010.
